Parrot Tulips (Sold)
Grown in my garden one year, these parrot tulips were so spectacular
on their own that I decided to showcase them in a painting that focused almost exclusively on the rich patterns, texture and
glorious color that these amazing flowers brought to the piece. (Private collection).

White Hydrangeas
I love silver for it's highly reflective qualities and this painting
was created to showcase the effect - almost rendering it abstract in it's complexity. Hydrangeas are a favorite of mine and
this painting is unique in that I use white hydrangeas earlier in the season. I call this my Summer Hydrangea painting.

Cupful of Hydrangeas (sold)
Hydrangeas grow in my backyard
and lend themselves to gorgeous studies in watercolor. Each petal has a different variation of blue to violet. I chose to
simplify this arrangement with the white on white drapery and cobalt goblet, to showcase the delicate intricacies of
the blossoms.

Lipstick Pink (sold)
Similar in layout to "Parrot Tulips", I found that the elegance
of the tulips and the natural bend to the stem created a gorgeous display on it's own. Painting the petals of tulips with
their glossy, waxed texture complete with droplets of water, brings to life through paper and the watercolor media the beauty
of nature itself. I felt these playfully pink tulips warranted closer scrutiny.
